This year’s programme offers a
comprehensive range of topics, from broad to specialized, centered around the
most influential and significant issues steering the pharmacy profession and
pharmaceutical sciences. Everything from pharmacy policy development and
regulations to patient safety to pharmacy education will be the focus of a
full programme of sessions. Pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists from
all areas of practice, research and academia will be welcomed to partake in
the most enriching and educational sessions from global leaders in the field,
the majority of which are fully accredited by licensed accrediting bodies
from around the world.

Further to the educational opportunities, this year’s FIP Congress will not
disappoint on social engagements. The Opening Ceremony will welcome attendees
to the historic People’s Hall, adjacent to Tian'anmen Square, and little will
match the experience of dining alongside the Great Wall of China at the
Farewell Dinner.

China is now on the cusp of many changes
with regards to healthcare, public and private responsibility and social
welfare. From new Essential Medicines lists, to the emergence of the country
as a growing center for Clinical Trials, China promises to captivate the
world with what is to come.
The push is on in China to benefit from the expanding economy to improve
health services and access to medicines for all demographics of China's constantly
growing population. Changes in legislation are leading to more effective drug
manufacturing processes, in turn leading to better access and care in the
country.
These are but some issues that FIP will be following leading up to September.
